Peter Wilmot Thompson Stiftung

The Peter Wilmot Thompson Stiftung is a non-profit making Foundation established September 18, 2014, in Berlin, Germany. The main objective of the Foundation is to establish and run Sculpture Park Wesenberg in Mecklenburg, Germany. It is the intention of the Foundation to commission and collect contemporary sculptures by established local and international artists, to exhibit their works of art and to establish a marketing platform by which their art can be sold for the mutual benefit of the artist and the Foundation. The proceeds received by the Foundation from such sales will be used for the commissioning of new works of art. A further objective is an on-going programme of Artists in Residence. With this in mind we have inaugurated a prize consisting of a three month residency in Weissensee to be given to an outstanding graduate of the sculpture department of the National Art School of Australia. The initial sculpture exhibition, which will be held annually, will promote cultural exchanges between artists from Germany and Australia.
